'The Wolf of Wall Street' Finally Gets A Release Date
Martin Scorsese sure is keeping audiences in the dark about his upcoming film The Wolf of Wall Street, but we now know at least one thing for certain, which is that it has a release date, and that date is November 15th. The Wolf of Wall Street is also the first live-action film of Scorsese's to be shot entirely digitally, which is kind of a sad passing of the torch moment, as Scorsese had always been one of the biggest proponents in Hollywood for using film rather than shooting digitally.
Wolf features Leonardo DiCaprio as the movie version of real-life Jordan Belfort, a former New York stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in an enormous securities fraud case involving Wall Street, the corporate banking world, and the Mob. The movie is based on Belfort's memoir of the same name.
For those keeping score at home, this brings the DiCaprio/Scorsese collaboration total to five. Along with DiCaprio, the cast also includes, among others, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Jon Favreau, and Matthew McConaughey.
The Wolf of Wall Street (we now know) will be hitting theaters on November 15th.
