Russell Crowe Tweets About Interest In Man of Steel Prequel
According to the man himself, Russell Crowe is being deluged with questions from fans on Twitter asking whether a Man of Steel prequel focusing on Jor-El before Krypton's explosion is in the works.
While Man of Steel polarised critical opinion, there's no disputing that it's been a mega hit in terms of box office takings, making a follow up to the film seem inevitable.
Crowe said on Twitter that 'A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that's something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts.'
So if you're into the idea, get tweeting! However, let's be clear, Crowe isn't necessarily campaigning for a film like that to be made, he's simply responding to The Fanz letting their feelings be known. Crowe has conceded that he's starting to get a little fed up of being asked that question, but also stated that if the studio went ahead with the prequel, heck, he'd 'give the tights another go'. Very noble of you, Russ!
In similar-but-not-totally-related news, comicbook.com has recently reported that Man of Steel is now the number one superhero reboot of all time at the US box office, having made a jaw-dropping $263 million - that's a million more than Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man made. Congrats to all the Superman-obsessed fans for making this happen!
