Russell Crowe casts Bond Girl in directorial debut
Poor Olga Kurylenko!
Even with a beautiful performance in a movie of an arthouse favorite in her filmography (the movie is To the Wonder, the favorite Terrence Malick), the actress still is referred to as a 'Bond Girl' by douches like me.
Well, perhaps her role in Russell Crowe’s upcoming directorial debut, The Water Diviner will change this injustice.
Set in the aftermath of World War I, the drama follows an Australian father (played by Crowe himself) traveling to Turkey to find his missing son.
According to The Wrap, Korylenko will play a hotel owner who houses Crowe’s character.
Principal photography of The Water Diviner is scheduled to begin this December in Australia.
I’ll try to forget that she ever was a Bond Girl until then... which might be a problem considering that the actress also stars in the hitman thriller The November Man starring former 007 Pierce Brosnan... nobody said it would be easy!
