In just 10 days, the massive comic book ensemble hit has managed gross $500 million at the box office worldwide. It has already surpassed all six of its predecessors, including "The Last Stand," which grossed nearly $460 million total.

The film has gathered $162 million domestically and $338 million globally during its ten-day run. It is sure to reach more milestones as the weeks carry on without any comic book movie competition until Guardians of the Galaxy opens in August.

The film would have to push pretty hard to match The Avengers, however, which managed to hit $1 billion in just 19 days and become one of the highest grossing films of all time.

Still, DoFP will most likely surpass Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which peaked at $709 million worldwide, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at $690 million worldwide.
