Robert Pattinson has made no secret of his rampant anxiety when it comes to auditioning for movies, but it appears that his shaky nerves are more volatile than we ever imagined.
Whenever R-Patz's agent calls to deliver him the 'good' news about an interview, the sparkling vampire heartthrob get's a serious case of the CAN'T EVENS and implodes into a fleshy pile of neurosis. The 28-year-old actor explained;
I just can’t … I literally can’t do it. It’s just me looking uncomfortable, trying to put on an American accent … or sitting in the corner, making myself throw up and punching myself in the face
While punching yourself in the face and vomiting with fear might not be psychotherapist approved techniques, clearly they work for Rob who is positively trailblazing his way through Hollywood.
After his outbursts, the thing that get's Pattinson through is remembering someone invited him to audition in the first place. The Rover actor explained that he's able to perform when he changes his thinking about the situation and realizes people believe in his acting ability.
But, although Rob clearly finds auditioning as painful as dragging himself over hot coals with his tongue, Twilight was still the most difficult point in his career.
Pattinson explained that trying to breath some life into the undead vampire, Edward Cullen, was the most difficult acting challenge he has faced to date. The Maps to the Stars star explained that;
I think Twilight’s probably the hardest part I've done, because to do it for five movies, it’s really hard to think of stuff that’s maybe not boring. Especially if you don’t die. Because what’s the drama? You’re not scared of anything! And that’s the whole essence of drama: life and death
