Get ready to rip off those bodices, everyone - It's dark, brooding period romance time.
The latest installment in our universal fascination with watching people in the 19th century have sex comes courtesy of director Liv Ullmann - better known as a legendary actress and Ingmar Bergman muse - and Miss Julie.
Colin Farrell and Jessica Chastain star, and from the looks of this trailer, the results are...steamy:
Plus, there are bonus Norwegian subtitles on the trailer, which is always fun!
The film is adapted from the classic play by August Strindberg, though moved from it's original Swedish setting to rural Ireland in 1890. It sees Farrell and Chastain embark on a torrid love affair that will, from the looks of things, cross both the class divide and the whole house.
All in all, it's good news for fans of theater, naked attractive people, 1890's romance and that most popular of all film genre's: movies featuring a sexy valet.
So, pretty much everyone, then?
Miss Julie will receive its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
