It's been arguably the strongest season of the fantasy drama yet, but all good things must come to an end as we head into the final two episodes of Game of Thrones' sixth season. Early last week, HBO confirmed that the season finale — entitled "The Winds of Winter" — would be the longest episode of the series thus far, running at a whopping total of 69 minutes.

Today, HBO announced that it will not be releasing episode descriptions for the remaining two episodes. There will be no information at all regarding these installments. Onscreen cable guides will not be given any information either, and will only list the episode title, the director and the writing credits. Perhaps an ultra-vague description could be given. Indeed, Sky Atlantic, who simulcasts the series in the UK, has a cryptic description for the ninth episode, "The Battle of the Bastards", which can be read below:

New & Exclusive. The tension is rising as the fantasy epic reaches the penultimate episode of the sixth season. What shocks lie in store? (S6, ep 9)

This is the latest move on HBO's part, attempting to maintain as much secrecy as possible. The remaining two episodes will likely be full of shocking moments and HBO is trying to keep us in suspense. Not all hope is lost, though, as we still have a promo for "The Battle of the Bastards" — with a full breakdown here — which you can watch below:

The fight of the century is on as Ramsay Bolton takes on Jon Snow in a battle of epic proportions! Be sure to not miss this momentous event. Who will be victorious?

As we head into the final two episodes, storylines will start to be resolved, but since we have no episode descriptions we can only speculate until the moment of broadcast. It's going to be one hell of a conclusion, that's for sure!

If you're desperate for some more solid Game of Thrones analysis and speculation, head over here for the seven things you might have missed in last Sunday's episode.
