2020 (not having to do with the type of vision in this case) seems like an extremely long way away for a highly-anticipated movie. Roughly four years to be exact — so in a way it is. Thankfully though, we'll have some other great movies to tide us over until then: Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Justice League Part One *whew!*

Our first glimpses of the 'Corps should be in Justice League Part One (November 17, 2017), and if not, well, that's gonna suck because we're gonna have to wait clear until June 14, 2019 for Justice League Part Two. If that doesn't happen, well, lets hope they don't do that to us!

As with all movies, as the release date gets closer, more information about the film will be shared/made available. SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) usually brings us some great news, and as it comes around in a few weeks (and years), Warner Bros. and DC usually decide to release quite a few things related to their upcoming movies, including one of the most exciting things: castings. In the meantime, however, below are seven actors who I think, would make great lantern's for the Green Lantern Corps movie!

Guy, Hal, John, Kyle...

Alan Scott

1. Sean Bean

Don't die...
Don't die...

The 57-year-old is widely known for portraying Boromir in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and as Ned Stark in season one of HBO's popular series, Game of Thrones. Other than that, Sean's best known for playing great villains in movies and/or television shows, and for dying in almost everything he's appeared in (about 21 times to be exact). That being said, he'd make a great Lantern because he's been the bad guy and has died way too many times.

2. Karl Farrer

Yeah...
Yeah...

Karl isn't a well-known actor, and in a sense hasn't really acted. Mr. Farrer is usually an extra — an extra who's appeared (and will be appearing) in many things. One of which is Justice League, in which he's credited as a "co-pilot." That could change however as he kinda looks like Alan Scott. Coincidence? I think — maybe. Because he's only been an extra, I think it's about time to see what his acting chops are like, and what better way than to become the first Green Lantern?

Hal Jordan

1. Dan Amboyer

Sup...
Sup...

Dan Amboyer, 30, was supposed to appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but we didn't really see him. He is, however, credited as a "drone pilot," but I think it's safe to assume that Dan is actually Hal Jordan. And in that case, I'm gonna take him off the list because he's then already been cast (kinda).

Guy Gardner

1. Eric Johnson

Serious mysterious...
Serious mysterious...

The soon to be 37-year-old is best known for playing Flash Gordon in the short-lived TV series from 2007–2008 of the same name. He's also appeared in Smallville, Rookie Blue, and The Knick. He'll also play Christian Grey's rival in Fifty Shades Darker. Eric's definitely got the look.

2. Alexander Skarsgård

Why helloooo...
Why helloooo...

The 39-year-old is best known for playing vampire Eric Northman on the HBO series True Blood, Meekus in Zoolander, and Brad Colbert in the HBO miniseries Generation Kill. He's an incredible, extremely talented, and hilarious actor that hasn't really had a big role, though that's soon to change.

Alex is playing Tarzan in The legend of Tarzan, which comes out July 1st of this year, as well as the hilarious film War on Everyone, costarring alongside Michael Peña, which had an initial release of February 2016. Alexander is also the son of Stellan Skarsgård, so he comes from a pretty talented family.

John Stewart

1. DMX a.k.a. Earl Simmons

An old picture...

DMX, 45, is best known for being a rapper, though he's appeared in movies such as, Cradle 2 the Grave, Never Die Alone, as well as a few others.
If you're familiar with the animated Justice League show, then you'd know that John Stewart had a pretty wicked voice. DMX has the voice and the look, so he'd be perfect for the role.

Kyle Rayner

1. Josh Peck

Kind of a "derp" face...
Kind of a "derp" face...

The 29-year-old is best known for playing Josh Nichols in Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh. He's also provided his voice for the possum Eddie, in the Ice Age movies (minus the first), and had roles in movies like Drillbit Taylor and the remake of Red Dawn. His acting career has kind of gone down the crapper for the past few years, so a role like this could help him in so many ways.

2. Jensen Ackles

Dean with a demon...
Dean with a demon...

Jensen Ackles, 38, is best known for playing Dean Winchester in The CW's Supernatural. He's also appeared in the TV shows Smallville, Dawson's Creek, Dark Angel, Days of Our Lives, as well as providing his voice for the Red Hood for the animated movie Batman: Under the Red Hood. I mean come on! It's Jensen Ackles, he's great in everything.
