We just got word that Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad fame is going to play Zordon in the upcoming Power Rangers movie in March 2017. Zordon acts as a mentor to the Rangers, will star in the film alongside Elizabeth Banks, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott and RJ Cyler. Bryan Cranston did provide the voices for Twinman and Snizard in the 1993 TV show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. But we would rather see the man who rocked the TV world as Walter White suit up as a major character in an upcoming MCU movie. Just like in my previous post about possible Marvel characters that Woody Harrelson could play, I'm going to list 5 characters I would love to see Bryan Cranston portray in a Marvel movie. Here we go!

1. Black Tom Cassidy

First appearing in Uncanny X-Men #101, Black Tom Cassidy is a mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. Using a shillelagh, he can focus his powers. He is also the cousin of Banshee and Siryn. At times, he partnered with the Juggernaught to perform various missions to defeat the X-Men, Spider-Man, and even Deadpool! His participation in nafarious plots allowed him to join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. This is why I think Bryan Cranston would be perfect to play Black Tom Cassidy. The character of Walter White became quite the lawbreaker and leader of a gang. Bryan Cranston would have issues sliding back into a character that is familiar with the criminal underground. Plus, it will be pretty cool to hear Bryan Cranston speak with an Irish accent!

2. Stryfe

There's word that Cable may appear in Deadpool 2, so why not have one of Cable's biggest adversaries? Not too mention, Stryfe is a clone of Cable who was raised in the future by Apocalypse! And we saw Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse just a few weeks ago. There is that tie-in as well. So how does Bryan Cranston pull this one off? Again, let's examine his character of Walter White. In Breaking Bad, Walter White is constantly at odds with himself: does he continue to support his family by making meth or does he give it up to go back being a regular every day guy? It's this struggle that pushes the story forward and demonstrates how he evolves from Walter White the family guy to Heisenberg the master meth maker? Although a clone, Cable is battling an evil version of himself (Stryfe). This begs the question, "Is this a possible future for Cable?" Both characters are always at odds with themselves.

3. Sgt. Nick Fury

We are not talking Samuel L. Jackson or the mind-numbing version played by David Hasselhoff. We are talking about the Sgt. Nick Fury of the Howling Commandos! Who doesn't want to see Bryan Cranston get injected with the Infinity Formula and go on to kicking Nazi butt? Just take a look at how many sinister crime lords Walter White was able to take down. Having Bryan Cranston team up with Chris Evans in a flashback would so cool. Not to mention seeing Bryan Cranston with an eye patch and smoking a cigar. Bryan Cranston gives off that leadership vibe with his grizzled face and captivating sneer. If he were in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D, I think anyone would listen to his commands.

4. Mr. Sinister

This has to happen, and after watching the end credits after X-Men: Apocalypse, I thought there might be a chance. A few months ago, CinemaBlend.com shared a post about some buzz and even a mock-up of what Bryan Cranston could look like as Mr. Sinister. As one of the X-Men's toughest villains, this would be one of the coolest things to see on the big screen. Remember, Walter White was genius scientist before becoming a crime lord. Mr. Sinister is world renown geneticist that specializes in mutant DNA. Do I see a pattern here? Come on Marvel, pull the trigger!

5. The Beyonder

I'm going for it on this one. With Thanos showing up in Guardian of the Galaxy, and the hunt for the Infinity Stones, Marvel is showing off it's cosmic story lines. If you loved reading Marvel comics, then you very familiar with the Secret Wars story. The Beyonder kidnapped a bunch of Marvel characters and them battle each other! Bryan Cranston is the perfect actor to play one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. Just the thought of him making Spider-Man fight Iron Man on some wacky planet as he watches the whole thing makes went to shell out some movie money.

Who else do you think Bryan Cranston could pull off in the Marvel Universe?
