After Anton Yelchin's sudden and untimely passing, the Star Trek family is still mourning the tragedy along with the rest of the world. In a period of grievance, the debut of Rihanna's track "Sledgehammer" (featuring Sia) in the Star Trek Beyond trailer brought an unexpected sense of comfort to Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto.

The song is indeed incredibly moving, particularly when you associate it with recent events. The trailer showcases the end of the ballad with empowering lyrics as follows:

[Pre-Chorus 2]

I'm bracing for the pain and I am letting go

I gathered all my strength and I found myself whole

[Chorus]

I hit a wall, I thought that I would hurt myself

But I hit a wall, I'd be lying cold, lifeless

But I hit a wall, I hit 'em all, I hit 'em all

Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana both utilized their Instagram accounts to show their gratitude for Rihanna's song in their time of darkness:

It comes to no surprise that the entire cast of Star Trek Beyond is struggling in coping with the death of their co-star. In the last week, they've come as far as canceling their attendance of certain events in honor of him and many have taken to Social Media to express their pain and post their tributes. R.I.P.
