Jason Bourne was produced by the movie's lead, the legendary Matt Damon. Since the Universal Pictures production is to be released in theaters on July 29th, the star did some promoting via a Twitter Q&A alongside co-star Alicia Vikander (a.k.a. Heather Lee).

Damon was probably expecting questions from random fans about the latest addition to the Bourne franchise. However, the Oscar-winner was in for a treat when he got an inquiry from his Number 1 supporter, and lifelong friend, Ben Affleck.

This bromance has blossomed for decades, as the actors have not only co-starred together, but also co-wrote Good Will Hunting (1997) and have co-produced an array of movies. Let's take a look at the question at hand:

This throwback photo, which dates back to 1988, certainly made the actor chuckle. Amidst all the excitement, he never actually got around to fully answering Ben's question: "If you could go back in time, what advice would you give this guy?" Upon seeing the picture, Matt jokingly retorted:

"Clearly that guy is going to be nothing but a major success. I mean, look at the hair alone. I had that exact wig made for the Liberace movie for the '80s sequence. We called it the 'Flock of Seagulls' wig. That's my real hair!"

Apparently, Matt Damon followed the right path from the start, meaning he didn't have any real advice to give to his old self. Clearly, he is a major success, so why even bother messing with the past?

We can continue to witness the growth of Damon's talent in the reprisal of his iconic role, Jason Bourne. So add the latest The Bourne Identity (2002) sequel to the top of your summer bucket list — sun, beaches, and BBQs can wait.
