While they've been on TV in one form or another for nearly 25 years, the Power Rangers are about to reenter our lives in a big way thanks to director Dean Israelite's upcoming cinematic reboot of the franchise.

The new movie promises to bring brand new style to the franchise, with major redesigns for the Rangers and chief villainess Rita Repulsa. And those new designs are bound to inspire some wild new toys, much like the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series did back in the early '90s.

If you were ever a fan of the show, it's safe to assume that you owned some sweet Power Rangers toys at one point or another. As a kid growing up in the '90s, I remember running around the house in a Red Ranger costume and playing with an original Megazord toy on a daily basis. But are any of those old toys worth anything in 2016? Well, we've done some research and have a rundown on what some of the most popular Mighty Morphin Power Rangers toys are worth today!

Note: We've based our current selling prices on listings from Amazon. There's a chance you'll find these toys for different prices elsewhere.

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Original Retail Price: $7.49
Current Selling Price: $28.99 - $69.99

Naturally, any fan would start their Power Rangers toy collection with the Rangers themselves. The team was brought to life with plenty of different toys, and while these basic Rangers were some of the first released in the US, they were also some of the best. Luckily they've increased in value, but like most action figures the price will depend on condition of the toy as well as its original packaging.

Auto-Morphin Power Rangers

It's morphin' time!

Original Retail Price: $3.99
Current Selling Price: $7 - $40

The auto-morphin Power Rangers figures are easily some of the most memorable. With the press of a button, you could transform the team from normal teens to full-blown Rangers. The figures had bulky designs that weren't exactly accurate to the show, but it's a sacrifice we were willing to make for that sweet head-flipping action.

Deluxe Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord

Big threats call for a big Megazord.

Original Retail Price: $29.99
Current Selling Price: $350

Sometimes it takes more than a few butt kicking teens to save a city, and when giant monsters came out to play the Power Rangers were always ready to bust out their mighty Megazord to save the day. The Deluxe Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord was a must-have for fans because it was bigger and better than other versions of the giant robot. If you have this one boxed in good condition, you could make some nice money.

Saba The Talking Tiger Saber

Original Retail Price: $14.99
Current Selling Price: $120 - $230

The White Ranger was easily the coolest character in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He lead the team, was a better fighter than the other Rangers, and even had a sweet-as-hell talking sword. Luckily, '90s kids could get their very own version of Saba the Talking Tiger Saber to play with at home. But for kids today, an original '90s Saba Saber might be a bit expensive.

Lord Zedd — Deluxe Evil Space Aliens Edition

Lord Zedd rules over all he sees.
Lord Zedd rules over all he sees.

Original Retail Price: $7.99
Current Selling Price: $12.98 - $45

Of course, if you owned a bunch of Power Rangers figures, you needed to have a villain for them to fight, and who better than Lord Zedd? The crimson alien overlord is considered one of the greatest villains in Power Rangers history, and this action figure was one of the first to highlight him in toy form.

Lord Zedd's Serpentera

Serpentera allowed Zedd to battle the Megazord.
Serpentera allowed Zedd to battle the Megazord.

Original Retail Price: $39.99
Current Selling Price: $220 - $349.95

Lord Zedd's dragonzord Serpentera caused plenty of problems for the Power Rangers, but it was a must-have toy for fans. If you had a Megazord, you needed to have Serpentera to stage some epic robot battles.

Evil Space Aliens Putty Patroller

Original Retail Price: $7.49
Current Selling Price: $19.95 - $34.95

The Power Rangers faced off against some pretty crazy villains, but sadly they also had to beat down plenty of ineffectual putty patrollers. The gooey foot soldiers for Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd may have been easy to fight, but considering they appeared in basically every episode of Mighty Morphin, you needed at least a couple of them in your toy collection.

Power Dome Playset

The home base of the Power Rangers.
The home base of the Power Rangers.

Original Retail Price: $49.99
Current Selling Price: $189.99 - $289.95

The Power Dome Playset gave fans a base for their Power Rangers figures, while also providing seldom seen toy versions of Zordon and his robot assistant Alpha 5. It's perfect for both displaying your Rangers and giving them a real Command Center.

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers basically existed to spawn a huge number of toys, but lucky for us, those toys provided plenty of fun during childhood and beyond. And if you still have your toys in good condition you could actually make a little bit of money selling them today.
