M. Night Shyamalan, the maestro of PG-13 rated horror, is a divisive figure in Hollywood. Did you enjoy watching 'The Visit'?

The Visit is an interesting case. After a string of flops which earned an approval rating of only 6-24% on Rotten Tomatoes — Lady in the Water, The Happening, Last Airbender, After Earth — Shyamalan tried his hand at a new approach. He financed The Visit entirely out of his own pocket, meaning that he retained total creative control, and ended up making one of the best horror movies of 2015. His total earnings from The Visit was, however, likely one of his highest, as he was able to pay himself from its takings!
