After a hilarious and gory first season, we've been hanging out for any new information about the upcoming second season of Ash vs Evil Dead. Earlier this week we got a glimpse with some images and now we've really been thrown into the whole bloody mess with a teaser trailer! Check it out:

Season 1 of the series kicked off last year and saw Bruce Campbell reprise the role of Ash Williams, the same character he played throughout Sam Raimi's Evil Dead film franchise. Now, after a successful first 10 episodes (which included Fangoria and Saturn Award wins for Campbell), the series has planned a return for Season 2! Here's the official synopsis for the second season:

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

In addition to Campbell, Lucy Lawless will reprise her role as Ruby, Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell for the second season. We can also expect to see Lee Majors, Ted Raimi and Michelle Hurd join the cast as Ash's father, childhood best friend and high school love, respectively.

Ash vs Evil Dead returns to Starz in October.
