I like writing and discussing things. And since my friends have no knowledge about the things I like, I thought of discussing them with you.

Doctor Strange is going to be Marvel's first venture into magic and mysticism, far away from science fiction, into the fantasy genre. Marvel loves to take risks with its movies. Be it Guardians of the Galaxy or the very first Iron Man. In the Doctor Strange movie, we are going to see the story of a proud, egoistic and haughty world-class surgeon (Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect for the role), who damages his hands in an accident and then goes into a journey to find a cure for them, taking him to the abode of The Ancient One.

The Story

The story starts outside The British Museum in London, where Master Wong has been sent by the Masters of the Mystic Arts to stop a woman from using an ancient relic to access dark powers.

"I've been sent to stop you."
"I've been sent to stop you."

Master Wong fails, and moves back to Kamar-Taj, Home and Training Grounds to the Masters of the Mystic Arts; only to be admonished by Master Kaecilius for failing to subdue a 'novice'.

Later, Kaecilius attempts to handle it himself, but fails miserably and returns back to Kamar-Taj. Finally after learning his lesson, he decides to band up with Wong and two other Masters- Daniel Drumm and Tina Minoru, to defeat the Dark Elf woman. With the help of Martial Arts and Magic, the four Masters are able to take her down and confiscate her scepter, while the woman remains shocked on how she and her powerful artifact which was full of 'darkness' and 'power' could have been defeated.

"It's over."
"It's over."

What do we get to know about the movie from the prelude?

1. We got our first look at Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) in the trailer for the movie. We get a more prolonged look at the prime antagonist of the Doctor Strange movie through the comic book.

2. Wong is no longer the butler and chef to Stephen Strange as we had previously believed he would be. He is a Master of the Mystic Arts himself.

That's right! Expecto Patronum!

3. We get to see the Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation within a glass panel inside The Sanctum Sanctorum.

On the far-right we have Marvel's only red cape.

Further, from the above image, we can also speculate (or do we 'deduce', Mr.Holmes?) that the scepter of power being discussed earlier (held by Wong) could be the Eye of Agamotto, or one of the two final infinity stones in the MCU, or both.

What next in Issue Two?

In the next issue, we will be introduced to The Ancient One played by Tilda Swinton in the movie. It will be the final issue in this mini-series and will probably include Kaecilius' downfall to becoming a villain. The issue will be out on August 24, 2016.

Wrapping up

This isn't MCU's first tie-in comic book. And while this issue doesn't spoil the movie experience at all, it does help in showcasing the characters of the coming movie. We have just been introduced to the main villain (and yet to with The Ancient One), and although much of his character development will probably occur in the movie, it is still fun to read about and analyse the arch-nemesis of a superhero. I would probably award this issue 3.5 stars out of 5.

Let me know in the comments if I missed out on anything! And also, what you think of this issue!
