One of the most anticipated movies coming out this summer is definitely Suicide Squad. Set to introduce plenty of new characters from crazy to magical, the movie has a wide and versatile range of characters stirring up excitement. Check all of them out in the trailer below!

In this article I will be ranking the characters coming in Suicide Squad by levels of anticipation. Keep in mind that this is mainly my opinion, and you can have a completely different one. So let's get this started!

Honorable Mention: Slipknot

To be honest, the second they showed that Slipknot was in this movie, I immediately knew that he will simply be there to kill off by the first half of the movie, so I am not that hyped for him. I honestly feel like he will be that member of the team who gets their head exploded off for trying to run away. As much as I can't wait to see that, the character just doesn't interest me that much.

10. Rick Flag

Joll Kinnaman as Rick Flag

Rick Flag, acting as the leader of the team, is the only *normal* person on this team of extremely dangerous supervillains, which is why I don't really care about him that much. He seems to me like he is going to be the vanilla inside that mix of crazy flavors. The only reason he is the leader of the group is because he is probably the only sane one there, which might be a bit boring on screen.

9. Diablo

Jay Hernandez as Diablo

Diablo to me just seems to be another one of these fire-wielding characters that feels so stereotypical. From Pyro in the X-Men franchise to Heat Wave in The Flash, the only thing I am excited about with this character is to see if he can bring anything new to the table. If he does, it will be phenomenal, but if he can't he will just be another character that is just there.

8. Killer Croc

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc

I am actually pretty excited for Killer Croc's first appearance on the big screen, and the only reason he is this low on the list is because I'm just more excited for other characters. Just like Flag, Croc seems to be a little less colorful than the rest of his teammates. Honestly, Killer Croc is an awesome character, but I think the rest of the cast just outshines him a little bit.

7. Amanda Waller

Viola Davis as Amanda Waller

Amanda Waller in this movie seems to be one of the fiercest and cruelest people in the sense that she is extremely ruthless towards Task Force X. In the comics, Waller is a character with a big presence, not afraid to be face to face against even Batman, which is an aspect I just can't wait to see on film.

6. Enchantress

Cara Delevingne as Enchantress

The DCEU is mostly criticized for its dark tone and lack of humor, and even though this movie seems to try to lighten it up a little, Enchantress' character seems to still be grounded on the creepy and dark side. I love the dark tone that this character seems to be having in the movie, and I think it will balance well with the rest of the Suicide Squad, unless she is the villain, of course, and than it will just show the contrast even more.

5. Katana

Karen Fukuhara as Katana

Since her introduction in Arrow I have been really learning to love Katana more and more. Even though she might appear to be simple swordswoman, I honestly find her so much more unique. Her sword has the ability to take the souls of whoever she kills, giving her the ability to talk to spirits of the dead, which just seems really sick to me. Also, she seems to be having some emotional conflict in the movie, and I can't wait to finally see some character development with her.

4. Deadshot

Will Smith as Deadshot

Deadshot seems to be a conflict trigger in this movie (no pun intended) and is basically the real leader of the team. He is a skilled assassin and a highly-trained fighter, and I am just waiting to see his relationship with other members such as Harley Quinn. Furthermore, I LOVE Will Smith, and I just can't wait to see where he takes this awesome character.

3. Captain Boomerang

Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang

To me, the idea of a supervillain that throws boomerangs is nothing less than absurd, but it seems like that is what the movie is trying to achieve with this crazy character. Boomerang just really caught my attention with some hilarious moments in the trailer such as the can opening scene and he just seems to be a really refreshing character.

2. Joker

Jared Leto as The Joker
Jared Leto as The Joker

Even though it is not his first time on the big screen, Leto's take on the Joker certainly seems to be worthy considering the previous versions. From the insane laugh by the end of the first trailer, to the crazy gifts he sent his co-stars off screen, Jared just seems to be doing everything fans ever thought the Joker could possibly do. I am super hyped to see his relationship with the Suicide Squad team, especially with Harley, and I really want this movie to be successful so that Jared can continue being the face of the Joker.

1. Harley Quinn

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

Could there be any other choice? Harley has always been one of my favorite characters of all time, and I honestly can't express the amount of excitement I have when it comes to seeing her on screen. First of all, I LOVE Margot Robbie, and I am very satisfied with what we have seen her do with the character so far. She seems to be one of the funniest, craziest and most interesting characters in the squad. Also, she is getting her own film, which just makes me more hyped to see her in this one and start to get to know the character. She also seems to be the star of the film, as well as the center of conflict between the squad and the Joker, and maybe even Batman. Overall, Harley might actually be the reason I am even going to watch this movie — and that says something.

Suicide Squad comes out August 5th staring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto
