It's been three years since everyone's favorite glee club singing quarterback tragically passed away from a drug overdose in 2013. Cory Monteith was just 31 when he died, and this year, in annual tradition, former girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele paid a touching tribute to her fallen beau.

Back in April, Lea got a tattoo in memory of Cory, and in an emotional tweet posted yesterday, she expressed her hope that Cory was watching over her, with a picture of him looking out over the ocean.

Several of Cory's Glee cast mates have also paid tribute to their fallen club member on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #3YearsWithoutCory.

Cory's death was a tragedy, and yet another reminder of the pressures of life in the limelight. To pay my respects, I'm going to wrap myself in a blanket and re-watch Season 1 of Glee, remembering Cory as the overgrown, lovable, singing goofball he will always be remembered for.

R.I.P. Cory Monteith, you will never be forgotten.
