If you were an avid internet lurker back in the long-lost age of 2005, you may remember a certain delightfully creepy viral sensation: Salad Fingers. The bizarre creation of animator David Firth was the perfect oddity for watching on your own, late at night, and is still freaky as all get out today. If you've never seen an episode — or if you just wanna relive that Salad Fingers magic — check out the first episode below.

Salad Fingers lives in his little Hansel and Gretel shack in the middle of a blasted heath — and even pushes a child into his oven — where he lives a lonely life peppered with malevolent imaginary friends and the odd spot of skin-crawling masochism. If you loved Salad Fingers back in the day or just want to see how much weirdness you can handle, check out 17 horribly creepy Salad Fingers moments. ´
