Earlier this year, K&K Productions, a UK film production company, released our crowdfunding campaign for a short film based on Marvel's Cable, The campaign was successful and now, Cable: Chronicles of Hope has been shot! Below you can see some of the first behind the scenes images for the ambitious film.

The story is based on the hugely popular set of X-men graphic novels that tell the story of a young girl named Hope, who is heralded as the mutant Messiah. Every mutant hating faction is out to kill her and she only has one protector: the badass, mutant soldier from the future, Nathan Summers a.k.a. Cable!

The film features some of your favorite X-men characters including, Cable, Bishop, Hope Summers, and a really high-intensity take on Nighcrawler — the blue mutant with the power of teleportation.

We love this story and we love action. So expect hand-to-hand combat, mutant powers, big guns and Cable kicking some serious ass! It was so much fun filming the action scenes and showing just how helpless the human Purifiers are when pitted against the X-men characters.

We managed to get some excellent locations, including a derelict X Mansion, which looks great on camera. The film is now in edit and we have lots of cool visual effects work to do, including Cable's cybernetic arm, NightCrawler's tail and a whole load of mutant powers visuals.

We also had an excellent costume and makeup team to give the film an extremely gritty and dirty look, so you really feel like Hope and Cable have time traveled from a post-apocalyptic future into a pretty terrible present. We wanted to make sure everything felt worn and used, so it felt like part of a real universe.

We will be releasing a trailer for the film soon, which we are very excited about and in the mean time, you can keep an eye on our social media, including our YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter.
