Step Up, the very first installment of the homonymous dance movie franchise, hit theaters in August 11, 2006 and is now turning 10 years old! Although it wasn't received well by critics, audiences across the world loved Step Up, and if you were a teen when the movie came out, you most probably went crazy about it as well. Step Up had a $12 million budget and a $114 million international gross, securing four sequels and, in many ways, catapulted Channing Tatum into stardom. Most of us will know all about Channing's impressive career over the past ten years, but what about the rest of the cast? This is what the Step Up gang has been up to over the past ten years!

Channing Tatum — Tyler Gage

Tatum briefly played Tyler once again in Step Up 2: The Streets, and famously went on to star in a lot of blockbusters like 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike, where he proved that he hasn't lost his sexy moves! He's also been in Dear John, The Vow, White House Down, and Foxcatcher among many other films. Tatum is currently filming Kingsman: The Golden Circle and he's scheduled to play Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit, in the upcoming Gambit movie!

He has been married to Jenna Dewan Tatum, his Step Up costar, since 2009 and together they have a two-year-old daughter named Everly.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum — Nora Clark

Jenna Dewan played Nora Clark, a very talented dancer from a well-off family. Dewan has taken roles predominately on TV since making a name for herself in Step Up! She has reoccurring roles in the second season of FX's American Horror Story: Asylum and in Witches of East End. As of 2016, she has joined the DC's superhero universe on TV, playing Lucy Lane, Lois Lane's sister and Jame's girlfriend, in DC's Supergirl!

As I mentioned above, she has been married to Channing Tatum for seven years!

Drew Sidora — Lucy Avila

Drew Sidora played Nora's best friend, Lucy. Sidora went on to continue her acting and singing career. Most recently, she starred in TV Series Hindsight, Sister Code, and Chasing Waterfalls. She's married with two children and very active on Instagram.

Alyson Stoner — Camille

Alyson Stoner had the relatively small role of Camille, Tyler's foster sister. Despite her small role, her performance as young Camille is very memorable. Stoner isn't a stranger to the Step Up series as she has since starred in Step Up 3D and Step Up: All In.

Stoner has had a very active acting, singing and dancing career. She's a Disney Channel star with various roles in shows and movies like, Camp Rock and The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody. She voiced Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Bette Kane in Young Justice, and also voiced Isabella and other voices in Phineas and Ferb.

Damaine Radcliff — Mac Carter

Radcliff played Tyler's best friend, Mac. He's an actor, comedian and Viner (with more than 11 million loops). As if that wasn't impressive enough, he is also a filmmaker and visual effects artist. He most recently starred in Wild For The Night.

De'Shawn Washington — Skinny Carter

De'Shawn Washington played Tyler's energized foster brother who falls in with the wrong crowd, resulting in his heartbreaking death. De'Shawn lived away from the spotlight in Illinois until 2014, when he auditioned for The Voice, joining Shakira's team but losing in the battle round. He's active on YouTube and Twitter so check him out!

Josh Henderson — Brett Dolan

Josh Henderson played Brett, Nora's ex boyfriend. Henderson went on to take various successful roles, mostly on TV. He starred in shows like Desperate Housewives, 90210, and Dallas. He can now be seen in an E! Entertainment scripted series, The Arrangement, which is currently filming and scheduled to air in 2017.

Mario — Miles Darby

Mario played Nora's friend, Miles. Mario has pursued an R&B music career! He has been nominated twice for a Grammy and has won 2 Billboard Music Awards. This year he announced a fifth studio album, Paradise Cove, which will be released sometime in 2016. His single 'I Need More' was released this past May.

Rachel Griffiths — Director Gordon

Griffiths played the role of Director Gordon who inspired and helped Tyler realize his true potential. Since then, she's had various roles both on TV shows and feature films like Brothers & Sisters and Saving Mr. Banks. Her latest movie, The King's Daughter, also starring Pierce Brosnan, will be released in October 7.

Arguably, the best thing about Step Up is Channing Tatum and his dancing moves! It's something that stood out in the movie and made Step Up a hit in the first place. Remember this amazing dance?

Well, luckily Channing is still dancing at every opportunity. With movies like Magic Mike, we're lucky to have been blessed with more of his moves. It would be criminal for me not to share more of these moves to celebrate 10 years of Step Up, so here's Channing in his leading role in Magic Mike XXL.

How will you be celebrating 10 years of Step Up? Let me know in the comments section below!
