I haven't read that many comics, but thanks to more comic book movies coming out, I've started to read them more and more. That's it for ...

Before I start, I would like to say that yes I've seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I recently bought the dvd (not the ultimate edition) of the movie, and I still love the theatrical cut just as much as I loved it after I saw it. Since then, a question has crossed my mind: how can Justice League do the resurrection of Superman?

In what ways could the resurrection be explained?
In what ways could the resurrection be explained?

One of the challenges that might come in the movie is how to explain the fact that Superman is back and fully alive and well. So, I have some theories that I would like to share with you all, but some of you (or all of you) may find these theories just as dumb as my theory that Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman were fighting Lex Luthor in a mech suit at the end of BvS. Anyway, lets get right into the theories shall we?

Theory 1: The Hibernation-Like State

This is the basic one from the comic books. In the comics after Superman's battle with Doomsday, he "dies". Eventually, he would come back to life because he was never dead, he was only in a hibernation-like state, while his body began to absorb more sunlight to make him more powerful thanks to a character called the Eradicator.

The Eradicator
The Eradicator

Why This (Possibly) Won't Happen

The main reason is that the Eradicator was one of the Supermen that took Kal's place after he was killed (the main ones I remember are Superboy, Cyborg Superman and Steel). The Eradicator has the power to absorb sunlight, and with that, is how Superman came back (sorry for telling you that again, even though you just read it), but the main reason this (might) not happen is because Zack hasn't introduced any of these replacement Supermen, and he may never will. It's highly improbable that we'll see Eradicator resurrect Superman from his sleepy time, so don't keep your hopes up for this theory.

Theory 2: The Mother Boxes

Ok, this one sounds crazy, I know, but I haven't read a comic that has mother boxes in them, and I'm not fully sure how they work. All I know is that Darkseid and the New Gods use them and the mother boxes helped create Cyborg, hey wait a minute.

Cyborg Superman
Cyborg Superman

Why This (Probably) Won't Happen

Cyborg Superman isn't Clark Kent, it's Hank Henshaw. I'm not sure what happened to Hank to make him become Cyborg Superman, but I do know that the mother boxes didn't make Hank into Cyborg Superman, and I'm not aware of what happened to make Cyborg Superman. Now, we know that Zack Snyder likes to change things up a bit, so what if somehow, one of the mother boxes found Clark's body, and that mother box began to heal him? What if under Clark's skin is a cyborg body now because the mother box healed him the same it did to Cyborg?

However, some more questions would be asked. How did a mother box get into Clark's grave? Why didn't anyone see it and take it out before putting Clark's coffin in the grave? Ok, those are the only two questions I can think of, but you get what I'm trying to say, right? No, alright, I'll explain more. Zack and Chris would've had to find a way to explain how a mother box could've gotten close enough to Clark to bring him back from the dead.

Final Theory: The World Realized It Needs Superman

This involves the ending of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. At the end of the movie, after Superman's death, the people of Metropolis, and maybe even the whole world gather around a new monument they have to honor the lose of Superman.

Superman didn't stab Doomsday in the chest with the spear just because he had a death wish, it was to show that even after how the world viewed after Zod's attack on Metropolis, wether they saw him as a god or a demon, he was willing to die for what he loves the most, his home, his world. It was a sacrifice he chose to make because he was willing to give up his life to save what he grew up to call his home, Earth, and when he died, the world (might've) realized what his willing to do save everyone, and the world realized it needs Superman to save them from threats that might be bigger than Doomsday.

Why This (Probably) Won't Happen

Honestly, this is the one theory I strongly feel will happen in the movie. I believe this is how Zack will do the resurrection of Superman. When the world heard that Superman had been killed, most of the people that thought he was here to destroy us, maybe realized that he was after all here to help us and save us from threats that are too big for the men and women to go up against. By the world realizing that it DOES need Superman, and having hope that he'll come back, it's that hope that he feeds off of, and that hope that brings him backs from the dead, stronger than ever before.

That's all for my theories, I really hope you guys and gals enjoyed reading them, and please let me know your theories in the comments and feel free to answer the poll below!
