The day someone green-lights a Marvel Zombies Ghibli film directed by Xavier Dolan is the day I will be happy. Any day now...

Or good day, depending on what time you're reading this. Chanel Oberlin and the rest of her Chanel posse are sashaying their way to a TV screen near you very soon — on September 20 to be exact. Until then, the good folks at Fox have given us a new Season Two trailer to feast our gore-deprived eyes on.

In the words of Jamie Lee Curtis, the teaser is "priceless", reminding fans exactly why the shallow exploits of Chanel and her 'hog-faced sluts' captivated us so much last year when Season One first hit our screens.

While the minute-long trailer doesn't include any actual footage from the new episodes, the promo nails the tone perfectly, introducing new additions to the cast like John Stamos and Taylor Lautner as frisky doctors whose bedside manner is to die for.

Amongst the cute pink hospital outfits and 'confidential' medical evaluations with Lautner and Stamos, one particularly striking image from the trailer reminded us exactly how much Scream Queens takes delight in referencing classic horror movies.

Those who thought Lea Michele’s character Hester Ulrich would fade into the background for Season Two are luckily mistaken, as the sadistic killer resurfaces in the promo complete with a Silence of the Lambs style mask. If Chanel gets her hands on one too, we guarantee that you'll be seeing Lecter's face-piece on the runway this fall.

Dubbed Hannibal Hester, the disturbed psychopath will return once again as the focal point of a new murder mystery set this time in the hospital that Dean Munsch reigns over. It's impossible to tell if the Lecter mask will make an appearance on the actual show in upcoming episodes, but what we do know is that Season Two will certainly continue referencing classic horror movies in even more inventive ways.

As fans undoubtedly remember, Jamie Lee Curtis took part in a Psycho homage for Season One. That scene became one of the most unforgettable meta-moments ever committed to celluloid, re-enacting the iconic shower scene that her mother Janet Leigh made famous in Hitchcock's classic film. Genius.

As this sequence is one of Season One's highlights, we wouldn't be adverse to seeing another shower scene in Scream Queen's sophomore outing, this time featuring Taylor Lautner and John Stamos out of their scrubs. Just saying.

Whether the Red Devil will return or whether a new killer will appear in Season Two isn't clear yet, but before the Chanels return to scream their hearts out on September 20, one important question remains;

Do you think we'll see more of the Hannibal Lecter mask in Season Two of Scream Queens? Who will be the new killer? And seriously though — What do you think Taylor Swift is doing right now?
