Of all the upcoming Disney live-action movies (and there's quite a lot), the remake of Beauty and the Beast is probably the most highly anticipated one — because how could you stop loving the thick-headed Gaston and the talking homeware? After all, it's a tale as old as time, so it'll speak as much to audiences today as it did when Disney released their Oscar-nominated animated movie in 1991.
And while we'd barely gotten a look at the characters so far, we'd already heard that Emma Watson was perfect as Belle, so it was about time we'd actually get a look for ourselves. The first full trailer for Beauty and the Beast has finally dropped, and just like the Beast deep down in his heart, it is truly beautiful.

Now, if anyone still had any doubts that Emma Watson was made for the role of Belle, your worries should be far, far gone. Her new outfit is absolutely dreamy, and it truly feels like Disney's iconic princess come to life.
As for the hospitable inhabitants of the castle, seeing Cogsworth and Lumière bickering as usual is just so much better than catching their voices in the background. And what would we do without Mrs. Potts.
But let's admit it — what we've all been waiting for was to see the new Beast. As director Bill Condon put it:
I was so excited to hear that Disney was thinking of doing a live-action version of 'Beauty and the Beast.' When something is so perfect, why get near it? The answer is technology has caught up to the idea that were introduced in that movie.
Technology has indeed given us our most magnificent Beast yet.
Beauty and the Beast will be released March 17, 2017.
