Will Smith Hopes For 'Hancock 2'
Can you smell that? The familiar scent of boozy breath from this superhuman (alcoholic) troublemaker, with a heart of gold? Yep, that's right, it's Hancock, everybody!
Our favorite erstwhile Fresh Prince, the cheeky chap Will Smith, appears to be back in the limelight. The lovable actor has just finished filming Men in Black 3, the third installment of the much-loved goofball sci-fi, which is set to be released on May 25th.
But is Will also planning a return to the role of the superhero that no one likes? Remember Hancock, the dysfunctional alcoholic with anger-management issues. He badmouths cops, alienates the media, aggravates the public, and ALWAYS causes more problems than he solves! As we know, this all changes in due course, when he saves the life of Ray (Jason Bateman), who, to the horror of his wife Mary (Charlize Theron) makes it his personal mission to clean up Hancock's act.
Director Peter Berg said prior to Hancock's 2008 release that if the film was successful, then a sequel, Hancock 2, would likely follow. Well, we're still raving about it — so where's the meat, Berg?
Well, here's Hancock star Will Smith revealing promising details about the possible sequel:
Although nothing is set in stone, Will seems totally up for getting involved in the next edition of the off-the-wall superhero's mischievous endeavors. Well, for now, we can only cling onto Hancock's words from the first movie...
You deserve better from me. I can be better. I will be better.
...Does that sound like a promise to you, too?
