Is a Storm in the forecast for 'Days of Future Past'?
It appears as if X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be getting that hurricane party it always wanted. Long-rumored to be happening, all signs are pointing to Halle Berry reprising her role as lightning-tossing mutant Storm. At least, we're almost positive. Like 90% sure. Probably.
Shadow and Act over at Indiewire recently caught up with the actress to discuss her future as a mutant, and while no direct quotes were given, the actress confirmed she is in the final stages of negotiation with her contract. Berry noted that there were still a few details to be worked out, but that as shooting was starting in April, she indicated the strong likelihood that they would get things sorted by then.
This is good news for original X-Men trilogy fans, as she is set to rejoin a reunion cast including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Ellen Page. This is in addition to new reboot actors James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence.
At this point, I think director Bryan Singer should just rename it "Bryan Singer's Big-Ass Reunion Party and Class Mixer", but I think the marketing team over at Fox Studios would have a fit.
