You might think that with the roaring success of Marvel’s The Avengers this weekend, superhero pros just want to kick back and reminisce over all that action, before prepping for the next installment.
Apparently not! Comic Book Movie reports that plans for Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 are well under way and should be starting production very soon in North Carolina. We certainly hope this is true, after all, the movie is scheduled for release in May 2013!
Sir Ben Kingsley is involved in these plans and, although he probably can’t give too much away, he said this:
I’m filming ‘Ender’s Game‘ in New Orleans right now and then I go onto a film called ‘The Physician’, which is a beautiful film about a physician and then I go into ‘Iron Man’.
Quite soon I’ll be with everybody and we’ll be discussing the look and the feel and the direction of the character. It’s very early days yet, but I’m so thrilled to be on board.
We think he’d make a great villain, but as Marvel is yet to confirm anything, we’ll have to wait and see!
