If hes good enough for Bond, hes good enough for Thor! So the shout must have echoed around the halls of Marvel studios when the decision was made to cast actual living viking Mads Mikkelsen as the primary antagonist in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World

! It seems as though Loki will either be reforming after his very naughty antics in this summers The Avengers or might be recruiting some more help.

Im hoping for a reformed but still tormented Loki helping a Thor under duress to take on an even bigger enemy hoepfully played by Mads himself. Imagine that scene: Thor and Loki eventually put aside their differences and use their combined strength to take on Mikkelsen. You dont need to make Loki good forever, but a temporary brotherly team-up would be awesome!

For those wondering who Mr. Mikkelsen is, check out his awesome turn as Le Chiffre in best bond ever Casio Royale. Le Chiffre cries blood and whips Bonds balls with a knotted rope: hes a bad bastard. More recently, you can spot him as the surly captain of the guard in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans ,or headlining his own brutal and bloody viking flick Valhalla Rising, directed by Drives Nicolas Winding Refn.

Thor 2 will be directed by Game of Thrones vet Alan Taylor, and by throwing Mikkelsen into the mix weve got a recipe for a right royal Viking smackdown!
