Somebody must explain to the befuddled writer of these lines what exactly Danny Trejo and/or director Robert Rodriguez have been doing right to be able to cast all those beautiful actresses for the sequel to the Grindhouse spin-off Machete. Sure the original was enjoyable trash, but Jesus, ladies: The man is nearly 70! And to Trejo: Leave some for the rest of us, will ya?
Trejo himself revealed that another sexy and talented lady will the join the cast of the film that already stars Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Vergara and Jessica Alba. Always the humble Mexian gentleman, Mr. Trejo had the following to say concerning the poltics of the Machete casting and the general direction of the film:
The sequel to _Machete, Machete Kills, is going to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete. Weve got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoe Saldana and guess what? I get to kiss all of em._
