Ridley Scott, through the intensely creative and focused viral marketing at the heart of Weyland Industries, has been leaking little snippets of technology from Prometheus
every now and then, whether it’s the Weyland MediPod 720i or David 8, and now at last he’s letting us see the ship itself.
Courtesy of Coming Soon, the video shows Scott and production designer Arthur Max talk about their intentions in designing the ship while stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron wax lyrical about just how amazing the whole thing is.
Pretty cool, huh? It makes Ripley’s Nostromo look like the piece of space junk it is. Even the Sulaco, beloved ship of Aliens‘ Colonial Marines pales in comparison with the majesty of Prometheus. They might be inhumanly evil, money-worshiping monsters but those boys at the Weyland Industries sure know how to build a kick-ass spaceship.
