It was recently revealed that the first official trailer for Django Unchained

will be attached to Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, which opens this Friday. For those of you who won’t be visiting the cinema to see it, however and may we say, how dare you! we have some first-look footage of Leonardo DiCaprio for you to feast your eyes on.

If the new Tarantino flick already had your curiosity, has it now in the words of Calvin Candie got your attention?

As you probably noticed, Entertainment Tonight appears to have done everything in its power to dominate the new clips from the movie. However, there is still a good deal of solid stuff in there, including a revealing preview of Leonardo DiCaprio’s evil plantation owner Calvin Candie. DiCaprio seems to have mastered his spaghetti western accent pretty well, as we got a glimpse of him referring to (we think) Jamie Foxx’s character Django as ‘rambunctious’ presumably because he’s escaped his captors and is on a turbulent mission to rescue his wife from the brutal Candie.

The brand new scene also offered us the opportunity to see Christoph Waltz in character as a German dentist-turned-bounty-hunter called Dr. King Schultz, who promises to help Django in rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) and take vengeance against his perpetrators.

Although we were slightly concerned by the number of actors who, after signing up for Tarantino’s project, decided to drop like flies including Kurt Russell, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and reportedly Sacha Baron Cohen and Kevin Costner, too the film still has an incredible line-up of supporting actors.

We’re not sure if it’s just because of the prestigious ‘Tarantino’ label which seems to produce hit after hit, but some of the big names on board the movie include James Remar, Don Johnson, Franco Nero, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern, M.C. Gainey, RZA, Tom Savini, Michael Bacall, Dennis Christopher, and Laura Cayouette. And of course, Samuel L. Jackson, who we all know worked with Tarantino on the sets of Pulp Fiction and True Romance.

The plot for this movie is one of the weirdest we’ve heard about this year, and after the casting difficulties and plot worries, we were beginning to lose hope that the project would ever be finished. However, this scene sneak preview is just what we needed to put our faith back on track and boy, are we excited! Are you?
