It’s happening. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

, helmed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, is rumored to be contemplating filming locations for an early fall shoot.

What is currently known is that the movie is being produced by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes production company and will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) with a screenplay from Josh Appelbaum and Andr Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). What’s more, according to ComicBookMovie, filming may begin fairly soon with a targeted release date of December 2013.

Please, please, PLEASE don’t ruin this one, Michael Bay.

Yep, he already killed Transformers for some of us and I for one don’t want him to take this childhood dream away from me, too. All he’d have to do next would be to ruin vanilla ice-cream and everything that I fell in love with as a child would be destroyed. Speaking of which, Vanilla Ice is rumored to be involved in the project as well. Probably as the token human… Of course.

Although the American rapper was keeping pretty hush about things, he did disclose that he

Can’t say anything

Which, in all obviousness, is a tried and true indication that yes, he is involved with the project.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will use CGI akin to the sort of technology we witnessed in Planet of the Apes. So, who will be voicing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo? Rumors have been abound that everyone from Kid Cudi to Corey Feldman to Donald Glover could be involved with the project in some capacity. But seriously, Vanilla Ice? I have to say I’m a bit sad about that. And Michael Bay.

Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO! Run for the hills and do not surface, not even for pizza, until Michael Bay and his production team have every ounce of interest in this project. Agree?
