Last week we announced that 90s movie legend Bill Paxton would be cast in 2 Guns (wrong)
, joining Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. Paxton will play a high-ranking CIA operative while Washington and Wahlberg will place a DEA agent and a Navy SEAL respectively. The film already had an awesome cast of cops, all that was still missing until now was a decent villain. It was announced on Comic Book Movie that the project would get just that from seasoned actor Edward James Olmos.Olmos hasn’t been on the big screen much since his 70s heyday, instead focusing on his TV work, appearing on Dexter last year and as Commander Adama in Battlestar Galactica. Hopefully his latest role will mark Olmos’s return to film. Cast as Mexican druglord Papi Greco, Olmos will pit himself against the two leads and presumably Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol actress Paula Patton, who has been cast as a DEA agent, too. With casting nearly finished and planning underway we can expect to see 2 Guns next year.
