Just yesterday, we were getting all excited about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
‘s Comic-Con appearance and what we could expect to see. Today we’re overjoyed at these latest stills featured in this week’s Entertainment Weekly. First off, there’s the cover, featuring Ian McKellan and Martin Freeman as Gandalf the Grey and Bilbo Baggins:
McKellan has still got it, and Freeman is channeling the impish charm of Merry or Pippin with that grin. Next up, check out more of the main and supporting cast, including a look at Andy Serkis’ new and improved, ‘handsomer’ Gollum.
With pictures and a trailer already out, I’m not sure what that leaves for Comic-Con to present, but I’m sure that wily director Peter Jackson kept something up his sleeve to surprise us with.
