If you’ve already forgotten yesterday’s Iron Man 3

news, then there’s probably something wrong with you, but here’s a recap: we showed you an image of the incredible Tony Stark hard-wired into his suit.

The concept art, showing Stark with armor covering only his arm and his leg, is now being widely speculated on. What’s going on here exactly? Well, according to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (via Comic Book Movie), the Extremis virus might be starting to kick in:

The context isn’t immediately clear… But the image matches the way Stark’s armor attaches to him in the 2005-06 comic book series Iron Man: Extremis. The title refers to a nanotech serum that allows humans to bond with metal, becoming biological combat machines…

Awesome, right? He may be experiencing a faster neural response from the Iron Man suit.

What’s even more awesome is that Entertainment Weekly also caught up with star Robert Downey Jr. and talked about what fans can expect from his character in the upcoming movie. Although the interview doesn’t give too much away, there’s one tidbit to get excited about when Downey Jr. discusses wanting to wholly challenge Stark’s identity, rather than just have him battle another bad guy:

These things tend to, in Act 3, really become about the same old things. So let’s really flip that. I feel like I don’t know where you go after Iron Man 3. Leave it all on the field, you know?

I definitely share his feeling. Having his character fight a bad guy at the end of every movieas fun to watch as it may beis getting a little stale. RDJ seems to be tired of playing Stark like a one trick… Tony. He wants this latest film to be the best of the series, like we hope The Dark Knight Rises

will be! So, there you have it,that’s what Iron Man himself wants from Iron Man 3.

Do you agree with his thoughts towards the third movie? What else would you like to see? Personally, I’d like less reliance on one-liners, and more tech-based weapons…
