Which is why we’re not really surprised about the surfacing of Paranormal Activity 4

, set to hit cinemas in October. What we are a bit surprised about, however, is how directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman manage to keep thinking up plot-lines for this somewhat stagnant spooky franchise. But they do. Here’s the evidence in trailer form, via Indie Wire:

It now seems that the central characters are the protagonist’s neighbors. More specifically a young child, who we wouldn’t have a hard time finding scary if we came across him in Toys R Us. So, although we’re not exactly sure where this story-line could be going, it looks like the fourth movie is going to be another staple fright-fest. Excited?
