Update: Following our recent announcement that Ben Affleck is Warner Bros. top choice of director for their upcoming Justice League movie, we have just received news that the actor may have already passed on the offer. According to Indie Wire, it might be the case that Affleck’s reps already stated that he wasn’t going to take the directorial gig. We’re pretty sure they’ll be a confirmation of sorts surfacing soon, so stay tuned to find out the latest.

While we know Affleck best for his mad acting skills, the , and star has been experimenting behind the camera recently and has proved himself to be quite the indie mastermind. He has competently excelled as a director in the smaller, more personal movies that he’s taken on. Could you see Affleck doing a good job with the Justice League movie, or will he be in way over his head? It wasn’t all that long ago that Affleck wasn’t taken seriously as an actor, let alone a writer or director. That was before the critical and commercial success of his directing projects; perhaps some careful handling of the Warner Bros. movie might see a real superhero sensation.
