He’s back! Proving that there is no upper age limit for action heroes, Arnold Schwarzenegger delivers a serious beat down to an unsuspecting drug cartel trying to run roughshod over his town in The Last Stand

. It’s Korean director Jee-Woon Kim’s first Hollywood effort and judging by this trailer I’d say he’s got the tone and style just right. The whole thing looks like a mix between a siege movie like The Taking of Pelham 123, a flashy modern action film and a classic western.

If you thought the trailer did a good job of summing up the film, this postercourtesy of IGN encapsulates Arnie’s world-weary small-town sheriff perfectly too. Plus, it gives the 60-year-old a sheen of menace, surrounding him with action movie tropes; standing on the edge of a dust cloud, looking off into the middle distance and holding a massive gun in front of a fast car.

Pretty good stuff, right? We think that the role is just right for an ageing action hero, just like Sylvester Stallone’s retiring assassin is perfect in Bullet to the Head

. What do you make of Arnie continuing into his 60s? Sound off in the comments below.
