A film as important to comic book fans as Justice League

Warner Bros. seems to feel like they have a decent plan for attacking this superhero beast, as they’re finally laying the groundwork for what we hope will eventually be an answer to The Avengers. According to the L.A. Times, we could be seeing a Justice League film as soon as 2015 thanks to winning the rights to use the iconic Man of Steel after a lengthy battle with Superman co-creator Joe Shuster‘s heirs.Eschewing Marvel’s tactic of building toward an ensemble cast of superheroes through a series of ever-entwined films, Warner Bros. intends to throw the iconic Justice League team of Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and more together immediately before spinning them out into their own franchises. The film’s only lead-in would be 2013’s Christopher Nolan produced, Zack Snyder directed Man of Steel
.That’s ballsy.
Still, I can’t help but think that this massive leap forward has got to be a good thing, in spite of the risks.
So, all that remains is to fire up the speculato-tron (I have one), pen some dream casting lists, and remember to give thanks where it’s deserved.
Thank you, Warner Bros. lawyers; you’ve placed this fanboy’s dream of a DC team up to rival The Avengers a that much closer to reality.
