It’s always good news when the great Gary Oldman decides to star in a new film. The presence of one of Britain’s best actors can add class to even the crappiest piece of filmmaking (yes, we’re looking at you Red Riding Hood). Soon, however, that pleasant sensation gets a bit dampened by a feeling which could be expressed as something along the lines of, “Oh man, not another blockbuster,” followed by a Will Arnett-esque “C’mon!”.
Before Oldman gets to fight monkeys, he’ll construct a certain RoboCopHarrison Ford in the white-collar thriller Paranoia
Here’s hoping, the acting legend will also find time to return as George Smiley in Smiley’s People, the sequel to the brilliant Tinker Tailor Solider Spy.
