Fault in Our Stars director takes a bite at iconic vampire novel
Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat has got an adaptation from the unassuming The Fault In Our Stars director, Josh Boone.
Set from the 18th Century until the 1980s, the movie centers on Lestat de Lioncourt, a 200-year-old vampire. Lestat follows his beginnings as a young nobleman in Auvergne all the way through his dark, vampiric afterlife.
Lestas is a reboot of sorts, as the novel is a sequel to Anna Rice's Interview with the Vampire, and is proceeded by Queen of the Damned. Both have had successful adaptations, with Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend playing the part of Lestat de Lioncourt respectively.
