Spidey swings his way back onto the big screen, darker than ever!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 finds Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) enjoying his double-life as Spider-Man!
After saving his fellow New Yorkers from crime in all shapes and forms, he can swing home and spend time with the lovey Gwen (Emma Stone). But Peter is about to learn more about the grim downside of being a superhero: With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Spider-Man faces an enemy far more powerful than himself. The return of his friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) also doesn’t make things easier: How come all the villains he fights have one thing in common: OsCorp, the company of Harry’s father, Norman (Chris Cooper)?
Marc Webb's rebooted franchise has brought fans a more faithful adaptation of the original comic books than the previous Spider Man films by Sam Raimi, particularly regarding the film's love story. After meeting Peter Parker's original love interest Gwen Stacy in 2012's The Amazing Spider Man, speculation is high that Webb will continue to follow the original comic book love story all the way to Gwen's tragic death.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be followed by two sequels, The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and The Amazing Spider-Man 4.
