Despite being over seven decades since it was originally released, Disney's Dumbo continues to make new generations of children fall in love with the flappy-eared baby elephant. Although it was just 64 minutes long, Dumbo ran the gamut of emotions and now is ready to breathe new life into the old classic with a live-action adaptation!

Disney has been busy turning many of their animated classics into live-action films recently, with Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast reaching far beyond expectations with their captivating tales. With so many hits, expectations for Dumbo are high, and rightly so. But what should we expect from this particular live-action adaption? While an official synopsis is yet to be released by Disney, given that it is an adaptation we can assume it will follow the plot of the original animated film.

The 1941 film follows young circus elephant nicknamed "Dumbo" due to his large ears. After Dumbo's mother, Mrs. Jumbo loses her temper when her baby is teased by a group of boys, she's locked away leaving Dumbo to fend for himself. After being befriended by Timothy Q. Mouse, Dumbo's ears cause an accident at the circus and he's force into being a clown who performs dangerous stunts. However, after discovering that Dumbo's large ears actually allow him to fly, his new found skills brings fame and fortune. Dumbo (and his manager, Timothy), are reunited with Mrs. Jumbo and they even receive their own private car in the circus train.
