Netflix's down-to-earth look at the dating world exploded onto the streaming service back in 2016 with the first season of Love, a dark romantic comedy series created by Judd Apatow.

With a focus on lead characters Mickey and Gus, the series explores male and female perspectives on meaningful relationships, solid friendships and career choices, all complete with all of their exhilarations and humiliations. Dismantling all the too-familiar tropes associated with rom-coms, is a wonderfully refreshing take on the genre compressed into ten slick episodes per season.
