We learned a while back that Sam Mendes would be returning to direct Bond 24, however it's been unnervingly quiet since. Until now that is.

This interview (via TotalFilm) with writer , gives us a tiny snippet of information regarding the two follow up films to the spectacular Skyfall.

Whilst in conversation with IGN, Logan said:

My goal is to write a great movie that's appropriate, to build on what we did on Skyfall, but make it its own unique animal.

The themes, ideas and the characters from Skyfall can obviously continue on, because it is a franchise, and it is an ongoing story. So I think there's resonance from Skyfall in the new movie.

And when asked about the rumors surrounding the next Bond villain, after the news 'that rights to classic Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld have returned to the production company Eon' Logan commented:

You know, I think our villain's appropriate to the story we're telling.

Still no word on what babes and bad-ass cars to expect then? Well for now we'll just have to occupy ourselves with fantasies of who may feature in Bond 24 and 25?
