There's been so much news about Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens -- from casting rumors to the fact that will direct -- that we forgot it's been almost 30 years since audiences first had an Ewok dance party on the forest moon of Endor.

It's crazy to think that Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi grossed a recording breaking $6,219,629 on its opening day, May 25, 1983. We're assuming the new trilogy will manage to do the same thing without the help of The Force.
