As the new trailer for Iron Man 3 just dropped, we can now reveal some big new details about the movie gleaned from a press event attended by Collider and /Film a few weeks back. They were shown about 15 minutes of the movie, which begins about 20-25 minutes into the running time, and shows plenty of action, Shane Black dialogue and the Mandarin's power.
The trailers so far have shown a huge attack on Tony Stark's Malibu home that results in its total destruction (skip to the 1.15 mark in the link above). The press coverage showed this sequence in its entirety, along with the scenes immediately before and after it. As it turns out, by this point in the movie, The Mandarin () has taken credit for an assault that has seriously injured Happy Hogan (). As a result, Tony () goes off the rails in a very Tony way, yelling into some news cameras that The Mandarin should come directly for him, and includes his home address in his rant.
The footage release begins shortly after this, and you can watch the full video review of it here:

Holy hell. Phase 2 will murder everything in its path.
I have every confidence in RDJ to depict Tony Stark as a pissed guy in the aftermath of his house's destruction. I also cannot wait to see him motivated to do better when he realizes that he's not a god; just a genius in a suit, trying to up his game. But, the biggest takeaway from this awesome footage, according to Collider's Steve Weintraub, is that Iron Man 3:
Feels like the natural sequel to both Iron Man 2 and The Avengers. It also looks like they figured out a brilliant way to explain why Tony Stark would want to be left alone and not call his Avenger friends when he gets into trouble.
Excited? This is making me want to jump out of my skin! Bring on May 3rd.
