The franchise will be back with its fifth installment, Blood Wars on January 6 and reprising her role as the death dealer Selene is Kate Beckinsale. (Check out the trailer below.)

Now, I crave a good vampire vs. lycan story and I love watching Beckinsale in some bloody Underworld action, but I know I’m not the only who would love to see her dominate in another franchise as well.

Looking into fun future possibilities, here are five movie franchises Kate Beckinsale should totally join after Underworld: Blood Wars.

The is ever-expanding and with its latest announcement that Gotham City Sirens is on the way, Kate Beckinsale should join the franchise as Catwoman.

In Underworld she plays Selene, a deadly assassin who loves to wear black leather tights and operates in the dead of night. Doesn’t that remind you of certain feline femme fatale named Selina Kyle? Even their names have similar phonetics!

However, there are plenty of characters Beckinsale could play in the Extended Universe and if not , other characters I can definitely see her playing are Batwoman or Killer Frost.

2. Marvel Cinematic Universe

The never fails to impress and one area in which it heavily excels is in their casting choices. Beckinsale should be one more addition to that fine list of actors.

After and Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018, the next film in the MCU lineup is . With Brie Larson in the titular role, Beckinsale should join the MCU as the villain Moonstone in the Captain Marvel movie. She'd also be a perfect fit for the role of the evil Black Widow, Yelena Belova, in a possible Black Widow solo movie.

Just like the DCEU, there are many characters Beckinsale could play in the MCU, and another that perfectly fits her strong persona is the queen, Medusa.

3. 20th Century Fox's X-Men Franchise

Fox has rebooted their franchise and many of the cast members from X-Men: Apocalypse could return for future installments. However, as much as I loved Olivia Munn, there’s no denying that Beckinsale (a British actress) would be an amazing Psylocke. Especially since in the comics she is also from the U.K.

Another mutant that perfectly fits Beckinsale is Polaris.

Additionally, in the Comics Universe the character Selene Gallio, a powerful sorceress, is considered the first mutant, and that's yet another character she could definitely portray.

4. Kingsman Franchise

If there’s one franchise Beckinsale should definitely join, it’s the franchise.

The spy comic book film adaptation Kingsman: The Secret Service was a box-office hit in 2015 and spawned a sequel, , which is scheduled for release in October 2017.

If The Golden Circle is successful the series will likely continue and that's where Kate Beckinsale could bring some added firepower to the franchise by making her Kingsman debut.

5. J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World (Fantastic Beasts Series)

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was a tremendously fun film and Kate Beckinsale would bring even more excitement to the series.

With three more films set to happen after Fantastic Beasts, Beckinsale could join the franchise as a new character or as a younger version of a character, like Minerva McGonagall, which would be perfect casting.
