's is set for some "time" storms as they set course for the finale of Season 2. Revealing to fans a plot that borrows from other shows, Legends of Tomorrow is proving how a group of unknowns can band together to become legends. Legends of Tomorrow has already shown that not every character remains on the team forever. Season 1 witnessed Hawkgirl and Hawkman play a heavy role in the team's quest against Vandal Savage, and Season 2 has introduced the new ship mates Citizen Steel and Vixen. With this in mind, here are five potential characters that could become new Legends in Season 3.

5. Wildcat

Ted Grant is a heavyweight boxer who is framed for the death of his mentor. Taking on the identity of Wildcat, he goes on a mission to clear his name and bring the true criminals to justice. He is a strong fighter and basically the muscle. His addition could play well against the current muscle of Mick Rory. Given how origin stories can be tweaked and altered so easily in the shows and movies, it would not be to difficult for the writers to construct a reason for him to join the team. Perhaps, like Vixen, his manager could be killed by whatever threat the Legends are set to face in Season 3. If they did choose to use Ted, they should have him leave his timeline at a point where his goddaughter, Yolanda Montez, is still a child. This would allow them to have him discover her as Wildcat in the future timeline.

4. Hawk & Dove

With Warner Bros. already showing the willingness to add a pair of character with both Hawkgirl/Hawkman and Heatwave/Captain Cold, Hawk and Dove could be a brilliant pair that could join the team in Season 3. Henry Hall (Hawk) and Dawn Granger (Dove) represent war and peace and create an interesting dynamic on their own. Their personalities and powers are complete opposites, with Hawk focused on power and Dove on agility/speed. Empowered by the Lords of Order and Chaos, their presence would open up the idea of a balance to things within the universe. The Legends already deal with the issues behind altering the timeline, and Hawk and Dove could offer new questions behind their actions and how it could alter the balance between good and evil.

3. Shining Knight

Sir Justin is from the 6th Century and is given a sword by Merlin that can cut through anything. During a battle he is frozen in ice for 1300 years, eventually being thawed out in 1941. This could be how the Legends encounter him. Arriving in 1941, the team could use his help in a crisis as he is out of his time anyway. Sir Knight is extremely chivalrous and would likely provide comic relief — just imagine Rick dealing with him as a team mate. It would also give the Legends the chance to finally head to the medieval time of knights.

2. Fire And Ice

Fire and Ice would be a good addition to the team if they decided they wanted a new duo to replace Heatwave and Captain Cold. Fire gains her powers through an accident and Ice is the princess of an isolated tribe of magic-wielding Norseman. The pair are relatively unknown to the majority of fans outside of the comics, meaning their stories could be tweaked or rewritten easily. Their addition would increase the number of female Legends and provide a new dynamic in the same vein of Heatwave and Captain Cold.

1. Booster Gold

Michael Jon Carter is from the 25th century and is desperate to be famous as a superhero. This prompts him to use future technology to travel back to the past and try to be the famous hero, Booster Gold. With the legends popping through time, it is easy for them to encounter him in the future. Even better is the fact that the Legends' mission is almost written for him. He wants to be known as a superhero, why not a Legend? has been wanting to do something with the character and this could be their easiest option.

The Legends Will Fight On

Legends of Tomorrow is showing that DC can crossover individual projects successfully, and as a result the number of DC characters being brought to live-action is increasing. As Legends of Tomorrow is aimed to focus on lesser-known characters, these five are prime example of DC characters we could see fight alongside the Legends in Season 3. Which lesser-known DC characters would you like to see enter the Arrowverse?
