Now, the past season or so of #TheFlash hasn't been all that kind to #CarlosValdes' #Cisco, with the young hero having experienced more than his fair share of trauma over the past little while. It seems, however, that the show may finally be set to soften the series of blows that Mr. Ramon has been battling of late.
Y'see, the latest murmurings to emerge from the set of The Flash have raised a very particular question. Specifically:
Is Cisco About To Romance A Justice League-r In 'The Flash'?
Yup, that's right. According to the show's co-showrunner, Aaron Helbig, Cisco is finally about to have something on his mind that isn't misery. What's more, it sounds as though that revived romantic inclination is set to be prompted by the arrival of a certain one-time Justice League member - #Gypsy, as played by Jessica Camacho.
As Helbig put it in a recent interview with TVLine, Cisco is set to find Gypsy not only "a very strong adversary" but also "someone he can’t stop thinking about" - which sure does seem to suggest that the imminently arriving character is set to spark some romantic feeling in the young hero.
Does A Gypsy/Cisco Romance Make Sense, Though?
Well, perhaps. The pair certainly have a long-running comic-book connection, having both served in the Justice League in the 1980's, back when Cisco was best known by his alter-ego, Vibe. While that would seem to more-or-less guarantee that the pair a close relationship on the show, however, it doesn't necessarily mean that they'll become romantically involved. After all, it's not inconceivable that Cisco could find himself constantly thinking about Gypsy because of her potential ability to help him, say, better understand his powers. Something which, despite #TheCW's persistent suggestions otherwise, doesn't actually require romantic entanglements in order to succeed.
Plus, it's of course worth noting that all we know as of right now is that Cisco might be romantically interested in Gypsy. It's remains entirely possible that she'll turn out to have absolutely no romantic interest in him, and that Cisco - not being a tremendous a-hole - will ultimately be more than happy to just become friends, allies, or even frenemies.
In other words? As of right now, we don't actually know all that much at all - but it seems likely to be a whole lot of fun finding out...
What do you reckon, though? Do you reckon Cisco and Gypsy will become romantically involved in the near future? Let us know below!
