Ding dong, another asshole is dead! David, one of Negan's particularly vile lackeys, was stabbed through the neck by his own boss. Negan has a "no rape" policy which applies to everyone except himself: he keeps a roster of sex slaves he calls "wives," who are forced to sleep with him to survive in his horrible compound.

David attempted to force himself on Sasha, and boom! has one less greedy moron in its midst. Still, the actor who plays David, who is known only as Martinez, is a nice chap in real life.

Check out this sneak peek of the season 7 finale.

Martinez spoke to Comic Book about the shooting his character's death scene in which he and the effects crew lovingly replicated the relevant scene from The Walking Dead comics:

"I had done some research once I was initially cast and saw what the storyline for David was. I had been excited for a really long time to shoot that scene.

We shot a lot of different takes. A lot of CGI. A lot of different prop knives going in and out. Lots of laying in pools of blood, just sticky pools of blood that were literally just pulling the hair out of my head."

It sounds like Martinez is going to miss the Walking Dead crew: he gushed to Fansided about how much he loved working on the set:

"Everyone on that set is just so kind, considerate, and caring. I’ve never been on a set where all the actors are so close-knit and caring. There is always a sense of family on a set but they are so close-knit and the way they look out for each other – I’ve never seen that on a show. They care about each other so much and it carries into the show as they survive like a family. Andrew Lincoln sets the example."

Good luck in the future, Mr Martinez, and thanks for giving us a villain we loved to hate!

When will Negan be finally killed off in 'The Walking Dead'?
